Striped

Mixing some of my basics for a go-to look.

I love and reuse and reuse and reuse all of these pieces I am wearing. They are perfect for some many outfits that I cannot get enough of them. Some clothing you tend to use once maybe twice and forget about it as it is buried in your closet because it can be hard to style it in a different way than how you have worn it before. This is why I like investing in quality basics so that I can keep using something but make a different look each time.

As I am sure you know I looove my denim vest. Especially since the weather is changing, I'll start to use it even more as an easy layer for dresses or other outfits. Then we have my spiked loafers and I have worn them 100 times and counting on the blog. They really go with any outfit and are perfect to give an extra edge to my look. Next we have my tuxedo pants, that may be just a trend for some, but they are here to stay for me. And I am sure you know how obsessed I am with white shirts and this one is no exception. Now we have a subtle red lip and I was good to go!

What are some of your favorite pieces?

Happy Tuesday!

Danielle

Leather and Stripes

Neutrals and two brights.

Lately, I have been totally obsessed with my boyfriend jeans. I love the style, especially for warmer weather, because they can be worn in many different ways. These jeans can be dressed up or down, rocker or chic or a combination of sorts. I definitely recommend finding a pair for yourself.

Okay, I have to say it, sorry guys: what is with this weather!!? Why, oh why is it not consistently warm. I would like to wear skirts, shorts sleeves and even shorts occasionally. And of course sandals, my feet are super pale and they could use some sunshine. I'll stop now because I would go on with more complaints about the weather, but who couldn't?

As for the outfit: I hadn't used my vest in a while so I added it to this oversized striped sweater. Then I needed some color so these two very bright accessories were perfect. What do you have in your spring wardrobe?

Happy Monday!

xoox,

Danielle

p.s I was wondering, when I put the details of my outfit do you want links to the store I bought them from or similar pieces that look like what I am wearing that may be from different stores? Let me know!

Seeing Green

I practically blend in with this background.

I am totally in love with these green pants (which I am "borrowing" from my mom). They are the perfect color for spring and add more style than regular denim jeans. Plus this color is perfect to play around with other colors from a darker green to bright pinks and even blue. I have had to stop myself from wearing these pants everyday because that could be a little weird, right? What piece of clothing are you totally loving?

As for the rest of the outfit: These shoes are a fantastic nude color and shape because they are pointy which supposedly elongates your figure but they also have cutouts on the side which makes them different than other flats. Flats that I am on the hunt for are a pair of colorful flats with a thin strap around the ankle. I think they are totally "major". Then I just added other primary colors that went with the pants.

It is almost the weekend, only two depending on how you count, maybe one more day!

Happy Thursday!

Mod style for a sunny day.

Basically, for this outfit I just kept adding prints until I couldn't anymore. It began with these tartan/plaid pants; I wanted to wear something that was getting a little dusty in my sister's and my closet.  Then, I added my graphic tee with this dramatic model posing. Next, I added the purple snakeskin shoes just because they are purple snakeskin shoes. The denim shirt was the finishing touch to put together these different pieces.

What is your position on mixing prints?

Happy Wednesday!

xoox,

Danielle p.s. In a little bit a will be posting a second post! Stay Tuned.

Platnium

Hi lovelies, well since this season started I said that my favorite trends are metallic and clear, but as trends come and go. If you want to incorporate them is always easy just to pump to your local Bershka or ZARA and there is where the magic happens. Do you like my shoes?xx LOOKBOOK TWITTER BLOGLOVIN TUMBLR

Black Out

Simplicity is the best.

I find that when you are trying to hard to make or work an outfit, just go back to the simple pieces and then you suddenly create a stunning outfit. A pair of pants and that perfect boyfriend styled shirt that you wish you could wear everyday makes an outfit feel and look just right. Just for a bit of a statement, I went for all black everything and a messy up-do. The parka was needed, it was a bit rainy, and it actually added to the simple shape and comfort of the outfit's vibe since parkas are meant to be worn in.

This is definitely going in my "favorite outfits" label and it may be on repeat for the rest of this very chilly spring so far. I have had these classic ballet flats for what feels like ages that I am not sure where they are from. I don't use them too much because they can seem a bit juvenile but they went smashingly well with this outfit. I would say, what is key to this outfit is the comfy-cozy yet dapper feel to this outfit. So evidently it is . . . casually dapper!

What are some of your comfort pieces?

Happy Tuesday!

Valentino's Designs

I have seen Mr. Valentino's designs all across the web and magazines by numerous celebrities, bloggers, and so many others so I thought I would pick out some of my favorite pieces and show you them. These stunning bags are perfect for a day to night look and they fit just what you need: phone, wallet and lipstick. What else could a girl really need?! Now for the shoes, they can be styled with so many different outfits and be used for so many events. The espadrilles are ideal for a casual Saturday filled with lots of walking around while the sandals can be dressed up for a brunch or an early dinner. Then the statement heels can be used for a glam night out and the flats can be fitted for any work meeting. Which is you favorite piece? All of these can be purchased at Saks Fifth Ave. I have tons of photos to share with you from my trip to DC which I will be editing tomorrow.  Have a great Saturday! Back to Basics

This outfit has some of my favorite pieces together.

Don't you just love it when an outfit comes together?! I do and this outfit is a perfect example of just that. I was looking through my closet and I thought, well lets just put all of my fav clothing together and see what it looks like. I am so glad I did! This very casual outfit is chic and modern because the boyfriend jeans paired with the black booties adds a little edge and modernity to this minimalistic look.

What do you have planned for the rest of the week? I am going to visit D.C. and Maryland, but I will have posts up each day.

Happy Wednesday!

Danielle

Suiting Up

A touch of class to a rather sporty look.

I have been waiting to wear this outfit for when it finally got warm because any more layers would have killed the vibe of the outfit. Being that these pants are cool and casual, my blazer adds some sophistication plus these cheetah flats that I cannot stop wearing added to this cool, professional look.

I found this rather large bag in my attic and it is so perfect for spring. It easily carries all of my needs and it is a fabulous color. Plus who doesn't like a tassel. Another item that I reinvented is this delicate necklace that adds a touch of elegance for my outfits. It used to be a short necklace and I am not a huge fan of short necklaces because they feel a bit restricting but I made a longer change and voila a perfect piece of jewelry.

Some exciting news is that I found my prom dress! You can see a bit of it on my instagram (@dhope), but more details of the dress are soon to come.

Happy Tuesday!
